LET’S REMOVE YOUR FEAR OF COLOUR CORRECTIONS

THE ULTIMATE GUIDE FOr Hair painting
for redheads
Would you love to know what colour to mix in the salon for Copper, Auburn & Strawberry Blonde Hair colour requests? My FREE guide will help you.
There are 5 fundamental colour correction techniques that every colourist must know:
- Colour Stripper
- Blonde to Brown
- Blonde to Red
- Black to Red
- Highlights and Lowlights
PRO TIPS FOR COLOUR CORRECTIONS:
- If you are only going one shade darker no filling is required
- If you are going 3-4 levels darke you need to fill 2-3 shades darker
- Red is not the best colour choice for filling
- Not all colour strippers are created equal (beware of products containing peroxide or developer because they will lighten the natural hair)
- Take a blonde to an 8 level copper-gold when changing from Blonde to Red for the first time to introduce them to a darker warmer tone with less commitment than Copper
- When lifting from black to red always aim to lift 1 level higher or lighter than your desired shade because this gives you the best base to deposit your chosen red back on, for example, lift to a 6 if seeking a 5 result with red reflect
