I’m Kristina Russell, a Sydney hair colourist and educator. This policy explains what personal information I collect when you visit my websites, request a salon appointment, join my email list, or buy one of my courses, and how I use it.
It applies to kristinarussell.com.au, my online course platform at kristinarussell.online, and any forms, emails, online communities and services connected to them.
I will never sell your personal information.

In this policy, “I”, “me” and “my” means Kristina Russell Hair Colour Pty Ltd, including my small support team.
What information I collect
Information you give me
- Salon booking requests: your name, email, phone number, hair history, the colour you’d like, and photos of your hair. I use these to plan your appointment and send you a pre-consult email.
- Enquiries: your name, email, phone number and message when you contact me about education, press, speaking or brand work.
- Email list, free guides and free classes: your name and email address when you sign up.
- Course purchases: your name, email, billing details and purchase history. Card payments are processed by Stripe or PayPal. I never see or store your full card details.
- Course activity: your login details, course progress, and anything you post or submit inside a course.
- Live classes and online communities: if you join a live class on Zoom or one of my Facebook groups, your name, image and anything you share there.
- Podcast guest applications and other forms: the details you choose to include.
Information collected automatically
When you visit my websites, some information is collected automatically, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, how you arrived at my site, and the date and time of your visit. This comes from cookies and similar tools described below.
How I use your information
- To respond to your booking request, plan your colour service and arrange your appointment
- To answer your enquiries
- To deliver the courses, guides and classes you sign up for or buy, including access and login emails
- To send you my emails about hair colour education, podcast episodes, new courses and offers (you can unsubscribe at any time)
- To process payments and keep business and tax records
- To understand how people use my websites so I can improve them
- To show relevant ads on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and Google
- To keep my websites secure
- To meet my legal obligations
Your hair photos: photos you send with a booking request are used only to plan your service. I will never post them publicly or use them in my marketing without asking you first.
Live class recordings: live classes may be recorded and shared as replays with other students in the same course. If you’d rather not appear, you can keep your camera off and use a display name.
Cookies, pixels and tracking
My websites use cookies and similar tools to work properly, to measure visits and to help with advertising. These include:
- Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use my site
- The Meta (Facebook) pixel, to measure my ads on Facebook and Instagram and show my ads to people who have visited my site
- Security and performance tools used by my website host, which may check your IP address to protect the site from spam and attacks, and to load images faster
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of my websites may not work properly if you do. You can also manage ad preferences in your Facebook, Instagram and Google account settings.
Who I share your information with
I share your information only with the trusted services I use to run my business, and only as far as they need it to provide their service to me:
- Kajabi, my online course, checkout and email platform
- Stripe and PayPal, to process payments
- Google, for my booking request form, analytics and advertising
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram), for advertising and my Facebook groups
- Zoom, for live classes
- Fresha, the booking system used by AH Salon. When you book through Fresha, Fresha’s own privacy policy also applies.
- My website host and IT providers, who keep my website running and secure
- My accountant and professional advisers, where needed
I may also share information where the law requires it.
Facebook groups are run on Meta’s platform, so Meta’s own privacy policy also applies to anything you post there.
Overseas storage
Several of the services above, including Kajabi, Stripe, PayPal, Google, Meta and Zoom, store information on servers outside Australia, mainly in the United States. By using my websites and services, you understand your information may be stored and processed overseas by these providers.
How long I keep your information
I keep your information for as long as I need it for the reasons above, including to keep business and tax records for the time the law requires. When I no longer need it, I delete it or remove anything that identifies you.
How I protect your information
I use reputable, secure platforms and take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. No online system is completely secure, so please contact me straight away if you think your information has been put at risk.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it where I’m not required to keep it. Email hello@kristinarussell.com.au and I’ll respond within 30 days.
Unsubscribing from emails
Every marketing email I send includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. You can also email me and I’ll remove you. Course access and purchase emails will still be sent while you have an active course.
Children
My online courses are for hair professionals aged 18 and over. Salon clients under 18 should have a parent or guardian make the booking request.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
