The Trouble with Balayage
As Creatives, we get fixed on the practical elements of our job! However, if you really want to be good at Balayage it's vital to know all the what's – why's and how's! Seldom taught in the hairdressing industry! Sophie Bullivant is a super sassy balayage obsessed Haircolour Educator and Salon Owner that is literally lifting the lid and clearing the brain smoke.
Sophie B wrote the blueprint for Hairdressers of how to do balayage. She teaches stylists how to “speak client” with colourful technique names that paint a more detailed picture than just saying Balayage to describe everything. Because let's face it…. clients don't know what hairdressers are saying when we offer “hairdresser language” descriptions such as – Teasy Lights, Foilyage, Root Stretch or Drop the Base. You can literally see clients eyes glaze over when we do that & it's becoming increasingly more difficult for hairdressers to quote effectively for customised colour.
it's time to get sassy with your mindset and colour confidence
Hairdressers are infamous for over committing, overworking & obligating themselves. Would you like to learn how to run your own column as a personally branded biz? This is just as important for emerging hairdressers that are newly qualified, employed hairdressers growing their clientele, and highly experienced Hairdressers or Salon Owners.
You don't need to be running your own salon to inject your own professional personality into your salon life! Sophie is a big believer in the approach “Work Smarter and Not Harder” and this carries over to her mentoring.
It's time you start running your appointment column as a mini brand. We discuss marketing strategies that will help to boost your income and mindset regardless of your level of hairdressing. The first thing to change as an employed stylist or freelance stylist is your mindset that you are empowered to be running your own column how you want with messaging and earning potential.
