Clients want to know, like and trust you. They need to know your areas of expertise and price range before they do business with you. In this episode of the Colour Kristina Talks Podcast, I am chatting with the CEO of Salon Owners Collective Larissa Macleman about how to price your salon services.
Key themes discussed in episode 40 of the Colour Kristina Talks Podcast are;
- Learn how-to price your salon services
- Discover what you need to know before creating a price list
- Learn why you need a price list & how to create one
- Learn how to effectively have a price increase
- Plus we discuss how to avoid discounting and how to stick to your prices with clarity and confidence
Learn Why you need a price list + How to create one
We discuss these points in much greater detail in the podcast. This information relates to you if you are a Salon Owner, Freelancer, Self-Wmployed, Contractor or in the role of Salon CEO. The more you can standardise your pricing, the more you can win to smash your financial goals.
Top 5 you need to know things before you create your salon service price list:
- You must know how much it costs to run your business per hour
- Know your own wages (how much should you be getting paid in the role you have – pay yourself the Salon Manager role. What is the har you are wearing? Are you the Manager? Know the commercial rate you would be paid if working in another salon for someone else).
- Know your team and how much their wages cost to run your business
- Ask yourself what is the return you want from your biz?
- This is the formula for knowing what you need to get paid – Product + cost + cost per hour + add on top of that what you need to get paid
