MY GOAL IS TO HELP MAKE YOUR SALON LIFE EASIER
2022 is all about taking back control of your life and figuring out how to work smarter, make more money behind the salon chair, and live a happier life. Well, that’s my plan anyway!
A strong theme that I am seeing across social media and that I keep hearing when talking about covid recovery with hairdresser friends is how can we make our lives easier and just do more of the work we love.
My goal is to work less on the salon floor and to grow my education business. I have lots of experience teaching at events, however, the world of online education is still fairly new to me because I launched my first online course 2 years ago.
In the last month my Hair Painting for Redheads online program has been upgraded and prepped for a new launch happening soon, plus I am also launching a couple of new shorter programs this year, including a 4-day free Bootcamp on all things colour theory for redheads, plus I’ll be teaching some online consultation masterclasses that will be ½ day events.
I am pumped. I am motivated. And I am a hell of a lot less tired than last year because I took some time out for myself and I’ve also taken some time to work on my business instead of in it all the time.
I found 3 Salon Life Hacks that have allowed me to do this & I’m going to share them with you in this episode.
3 SALON LIFE HACKS TO CHANGE YOUR LIFE:
#1: My favourite app for social media scheduling is Sked Social. If you’re not already using a scheduler, seriously consider doing so. Some apps have free plans. Sked has a trial period and I highly recommend you start with that to check it out.
#2: My 2nd Salon Life Hack is Google Forms to collect online information, such as booking requests. In a lockdown, I was freaking out about how to deal with 200 + clients all at once, so I learnt how to make a google form. Trust me! They are easy! Google Forms are a great way to collect information all in one place. Click here to see my Online Booking Request form for inspiration.
#3: My 3rd salon life hack that you need are pre-consultation forms. Yep, it’s a thing most salon software have already set up that you can actually customise to suit your messaging. This can be automated or set up to be sent manually.
