Episode 64
Social Media Made Easy!
with jason crozier of croz nest creative agency in the uk
What we'll be talking about
In this episode, we’re talking about social media strategy with the inclusions of social media curation and why you need to mix it up for better engagement.
Session stylist Jason Crozier is a veteran of celebrity cover shoots, advertising campaigns, music videos, and backstage at fashion week for more than a decade. He is also the founder of Croz Nest Creative Agency. They specialise in collaborating with brands, individuals, and businesses who rely on fashion and hair focussed content. Jason admits he suffers social media anxiety in our conversation and we both agree that Hairdressers need help with fresh content to stay relevant on social media. That's a lot of pressure, right?
There is such a thing as Instagram Overwhelm and I knew that UK stylist Jason Crozier was the perfect guest to help hairdressers stop feeling like they are lost and just posting for the sake of posting without a plan and to get a fresher aesthetic to help grow their business on Instagram. His creative agency is taking a birds-eye view approach to what's going in the world of fashion and sharing it in the format of DIY curation packs for hairdressers that are easy to use. Amazingly refreshing!
Croz Nest is bridging the gap between hair and fashion by providing brands support with;
- Social Media Branding and Planning
- Curated Content
- Seasonal Trend reports
- Creative Direction
- Development and Coaching
- Education and Training
Show notes for podcast episode 64
social media curation is a no brainer
Hairdressers are now expected to be photographers, videographers, content creators, educators, stylists, counsellors, painters, hairstylists and Instagram Experts. There is a lot to remember every day. And that's not to mention how our clients want to be fed educational material, be inspired for their next appointment, they want to look at new hair trends and follow your posts for 8 weeks between their visits. Clients are expecting more and more from their hairdressers and there's an easy way to supply it. It is recommended by personal branding experts to mix up your social media content with a 30/70 mix of original content with curated content that is on-brand for your business. This helps you stay visible and viewed as the expert in your industry, which is really attractive for clients seeking a new hairdresser or feeling excited they are already in your clientele and a part of something exciting and fashion-forward.
We are all influencers in our salon to our clients
We (as Hairdressers) are all influencers in our salon to our clients and new potential clients. Fashion forecasting knowledge helps hairdressers share the latest trends with their clients and tell them what’s hot and what’s trending. Clients need to be advised of how you are transforming their hair to be customised and inspired by looks straight off the catwalk. It’s time you start using Instagram strategically to connect with clients & attract new ones, for example with a call to action like “Book Now” or “Send me a DM to find out if this trend suits you”.
When you invest in a social media curation pack you will receive 20 images to use in a month with captions and hashtags that are designed to attract clients. Sprinkle these amongst your own work and client images. Jason makes it easy for you to slay your socials so you can spend more time engaging with other accounts or doing hair.
