Surviving to Thriving: Setting up for salon success in 2023

What I'll be talking about
In this episode, we’re talking about our bright future as hairdressers and salon owners! Welcome to episode the first episode of season 4 of the Colour Kristina Talks Podcast for Hairdressers and Salon Owners. This episode is number 123.
I am really excited to be back with you behind the mic creating new content. I want to begin by saying hello and happy new year!
I took some time to rest and recharge over the new year period and have been working reduced salon hours throughout January with increased time available to work on the podcast and creating new online lessons for my online course Hair Painting for Redheads.
My goal with the podcast this year is to continue delivering trend and technical colour education that is inspiring and fun to create. Plus I’ve been carefully curating an incredible lineup of guests to help us elevate our craft, make more money working behind or beyond the chair, feel personally and professionally grounded, plus have lots of fun doing it. We have some awesome guests lined up for Season 4 of the Colour Kristina Talks podcast, including 4 weeks of broadcasting LGBTQI+ guests to chat about why inclusivity is good for business and good for the world, all whilst Sydney is hosting World Pride.
Show notes for episode 123
In this episode of the Colour Kristina Talks Podcast for Hairdressers and Salon Owners, I start off by sharing my salon business achievements from last year with you because I believe I can help you with your money mindset for a brighter future.
The numbers don’t lie. Have you reviewed your 2022 figures? And set goals for this year?
I have changed from surviving to thriving since covid closures by working on a few key areas in my salon biz. My gross and net sales have increased by +34%. My average number of sales has increased by 17%. And I have reduced the number of salon days from 4 days a week to 3 days.
Want to know how I did it?
There are two things I believe were the most important pivots I’ve ever made in my salon business. Those were working with Maddi as a student in her online course Boss Your Profits & learning how to price, plus tracking everything I used in the back bar with SalonScale. I will share the links with you below this podcast blog because I want you to have the same success I did.
Let me help you become more profitable to achieve your financial salon business goals!
Riches are in the niches!
My niche area that I love to work with is Hair Painting for Redheads. Becoming confident with your personal branding and colour formulations has never been easier than now with the support of my education programs and this podcast.
